Here’s our list of the most sought-after events in town for the Monaco Grand Prix 2016, from the glittering yacht parties and beach clubs, to the after-race driver party and the best nightclubs at which to party until dawn.
The Amber Lounge
A ticket to the Amber Lounge Grand Prix party is the hottest ticket in town. The Amber Lounge is a special Grand Prix-only venue that draws an A-list of global celebrities and F1 drivers. The Amber Lounge runs a series of events over the course of the weekend, from the famous fashion show, the charity auction and Friday night’s UNITE party, right through to the prestigious drivers’ party after the race on Sunday evening. The events take place over several venues, including the Amber Lounge F1 Yacht, which is moored trackside for race viewing; the exclusive Michelin-dining restaurant; and the decadent lounge bar and nightclub, which hosts wild, adrenaline-fuelled after parties. With a guest list including Richard Branson, Kim Kardashian, Will.I.Am, Kylie Minogue and the Prince of Monaco himself, this is the ultimate Monaco Grand Prix venue.
Tickets range in price from EUR 350 for individual club entry to EUR 25,000 for a table. Reservations are absolutely essential.
Sunset Lounge
The beautiful beach club at Meridien Beach Plaza hosts an extraordinary party weekend during the Grand Prix, with DJ’s and live performances getting everyone dancing, from the warm-up lap to the moment the cars cross the finish line. Open from midday to midnight each day, this is the place to enjoy the race atmosphere while eating lunch, drinking cocktails and listening to music right next to the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. With big screen TVs broadcasting all the F1 action, you might find it hard to leave after sunset as dinner service begins and the music gets louder, begging everyone to get up and dance under the stars.
There’s no entrance fee but this is an extremely sought after event, so reservations are strongly recommended to secure your lunch, dinner or drinks reservation.
The Billionaire Club
The name is synonymous with jet-set glamour, and the Billionaire Club is again being recreated on the top terrace of the Fairmont Hotel during the Monaco Grand Prix 2016. This stunning rooftop venue offers poolside dining, drinks, shisha bar and DJ’s, and of course, breathtaking views over Monaco and the Mediterranean. Make your way to the Billionaire Club at sunset to enjoy the excitement and buzz of this ultra-sophisticated party.
