Leo Trippi are delighted to welcome two fabulous new chalets to our luxury chalet collection in Tignes, France.
An exciting expansion of our current French portfolio, Tignes is fast becoming a ‘go to’ destination and we are delighted to be able to introduce our clients to two of the most luxurious properties in the resort. We aim to stay ahead of the trend and bring you only the highest quality of accommodation.
Tignes is a fantastic resort, comprising of five 5 villages: Val Claret, Tignes le Lac, Le Lavachet (which are close together), Tignes Les Boisses and Tignes-les-Brévières further down the valley at the dam. Les Brévières is the old village whereas the others developed as part of the hydroelectric Tignes Dam in the Isère valley or development of the ski resort. Its height above sea level and its 113 snow cannons makes Tignes the perfect choice for snow-sure skiing. The opening of the glacier is early in October and you can ski until the beginning of May. Skiers have free access to eight ski lifts to warm up and practice their moves before venturing on the superb slopes of the Espace Killy Tignes-Val d’Isere ski area. After a long day on the slopes and perhaps a spot of après, the only thing left to do is return home, relax those aching muscles in an outdoor hot tub, sip on a glass of champagne and count the stars in the clear alpine sky. Book your winter holiday with Leo Trippi and we can make this a reality. Let us welcome you to Chalet Opaline and Chalet Ombre, two chalets with all the luxury you need for a break away from the city . . . These two properties are sister chalets located next to each other, nestled in a quiet enclave of Tignes Le Lac. The chalets occupy a privileged position next to the Almes piste in the core of the Espace Killy ski area. The chalets offer uninterrupted views of the surrounding peaks and are in the ideal spot for ski enthusiasts. Ambre & Opaline were finished in the summer of 2014 and blend contemporary furnishings with alpine décor making sure guests have the most luxurious and relaxing holiday of their life. Each chalet spreads over three floors and 225 square metres, you can rent the luxury Ambre together with Opaline to create an alpine dwelling sleeping 18 people, or alternatively the chalets can be hired independently. Available on both a catered / self-catered basis, with a shared driving service available for your convenience for those who decide on a catered stay.
Chalet Ambre:
The magnificent spacious open plan living and dining area on the first floor has many windows letting in bright light and stunning views of the Torvière mountain. The large dining table has ten seats and the living area has seating for twelve. A large L-shaped sofa runs around the extraordinary central fireplace and a large flat screen TV provides a perfect space for the whole family after a day on the slopes. The fully equipped modern kitchen is on the ground floor. Recreational appliances in the chalet include DVD, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, Spotify, an integrated Bose sound system and Sonos speakers. The chalet sleeps eight in four beautifully designed bedrooms. The ground floor is where you will find three twin/double bedrooms all with en suite shower rooms and floor to ceiling French windows that open onto the south facing balconies or terrace.
Chalet Opaline
The expansive open plan living and dining area is on the first floor. Natural wood, soft lighting and uncomplicated lines create a refined ambience. The focus of the room is the striking Lorenzo Quinn sculpture in front of the floor to ceiling windows, against the dramatic backdrop of the Le Grand Sassière mountain range. The inviting L-shaped sofa is the perfect place to sit back with a glass of wine in front of the wood fire, watch a movie or just stare at the amazing landscape outside. The well-equipped kitchen, overlooking the large dining table, creates a perfect entertaining area where the cook and guests can interact. Appliances in the chalet are the same as Chalet Ambre. All five gorgeous bedrooms have en suite shower rooms, full length south facing French windows and terrace access. The imposing, light-filled master suite on the top floor has an en suite shower room and separate toilet. The ground floor is the main sleeping floor, with four twin/double bedrooms, all with en suite shower rooms.
